Between 18-45 years (As per 01/01/2025). The five-year waiver in the upper age restriction is only available to Himachal Pradesh’s bonafide S.C, S.T, O.B.C, W.F.F, and persons with disabilities. The age relaxation is only available to legitimate S.C. of H.P, S.T. of H.P, O.B.C. of H.P, W.F.F. of H.P, Persons with Disabilities of Himachal Pradesh, and Former Servicemen of H.P. provided a position is set aside for these groups.

a)Paper- 1
An hour CBT Based Examination of 100 marks consisting of objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) with Negative Marking.
General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh – 30 Marks
General Knowledge of National and International Affairs- 30 Marks
Knowledge of Hindi Language – 20Marks
Knowledge of English Language – 20 Marks
b)Paper -2A descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (SAT) of three hours duration having 120 marks as per the syllabus to be decided by the Commission from time to time
